Tesco

Our Minister, The Revd. Garry Jenkins is the Chaplain at the Tesco Supermarket in Jarman Park. Jarman Park backs onto the Bennett’s End area and falls within the geographical area of the church.

Times of attendance are: Mondays 9.15am – 1.15pm and at other times by appointment.

This partnership with Tesco gives Garry access to 400+ staff and many customers. The aim is to be a Christian presence in ‘the marketplace’ and to help to reach into the lives of people, many of whom who wouldn’t normally come to church. It’s about living out the faith rather than direct evangelism and gives people a listening ear, a supporter and friend within the workplace and shopping environment.

Anyone using or working at Tesco is invited to make themselves known to Garry at the store and are assured of a warm welcome from someone who is prepared to give them time and space to discuss whatever is on their minds.
